It just stops! 700 89

I cannot recreate this problem for my mechanic. He has checked for properly connected hoses, cleaned the "throttle body" and generally looked around, but didn't find anything out of order. I hope I can get some help here. The car has a T4, BTW. The turbo has only about 6k mi on it.

This has happened several times recently, but only twice to me. I think it is the same each time, though. I can't say for certain that this happens every time it is started from cold. Maybe not because the car sat out over night at the mechanic's before he even saw it. Maybe only after it sits???

- start the car.

- it runs fine - turbo seems to have the expected kick

- drive from 1/4 to nearly two miles

- it shuts down

- wait a few min.

- starts and runs fine

- as far as I know it only quits once.

Both times I experienced the problem the car had sat for 4-5 days before starting.

I have lightly browsed FAQ, but since I am really no mechanic I don't really know how to use them to good advantage.
