new purchase 900 1993

I am considering the purchase of a 1993 960 S/W with 90k

This will be my first Volvo purchase and would like to know if there are

any particular problems that are known on this model.

From reading the board, I've seen notes that using a Volvo oil filter

and even coolant seem to be high on the list of many writers.

Is there really that much difference between the non-OEM part and the

Volvo part ?

Any help would be greatly apprecitated.
