Tire Dilemma 900 1992

Looking to replace the worn Michelin MXV4 plus in a 196-65-15 size with slightly wider rubber in a 205-60-15 size. Anybody had any experience with this size on a '960? Also, in researching brands, the prices are all over the map. I really want to put '16 or '17 wheels and tires on next year, so while i want it all (cheap, performance, and sloppy weather traction, adn minimal noise), I don't expect to be wed to these for a long time, so mileage is not a real driver. Any ideas based in experience will be appreciated. the tires that have bubled up to the top in my reseach so far are: Yokohama Avid T4s and H4s, Pirelli P6000 Sport Veloce, and Pirelli 8000, Goodyear HP, and the Michelin Pilot. All of these are under $90 each. Thanks in advance for sharing your insights.
