engine swap 140-160 69-72

my neighbor just gave me a beautiful '69 145 "s" stationwagon , which she had run out of oil , and threw # 3 rod. I then found a '72 fuel injected coupe, which I pulled the engine out of , and put it in the wagon. they are both automatics, and though the torque converter on the '69 has fan blades on it, and the '72 does not, the '72 engine and torque converter bolted right up to the '69 tranny. my plan is to put the cylinder head with the twin strombergs from the '69 onto the '72 block . this is a low-budget project ( FREE ), so I will re-use the push rods and rocker assembly( since they are already worn together ) from the '72 . the '72 block has a bolt- on blanking plate over where the mechanical fuel pump would have been , but the camshaft has a lobe to operate the pump so this looks like it should work fine . the points-type distributor from the '69 hopefully will fit in the '72 . I am concerned about the possible different grinds of these cams but information about this has been impossible for me to find ,except what is in my haynes manual. also , It seems they might have different compression ratios , but I'm just going to go for it. does anybody see any looming disasters here ? or do you think I will soon be breezing down the road in my new volvo ? I have never had one before , but for the most part I am impressed with the engineering and attention to detail . and it just looks so cool . the worst part so far has been getting the motor mounts in , and the upper starter motor bolt .someone is definately NOT going to vallhalla ! I am looking forward to your advice , beck.
