improvements of the 88+ v6 700 1990

i'm in line for the purchase of a 1990 760 Gle... have heard a lot of talk about the v-6s this one has 132,000 and he wants 3000.00 for it. This car has every thing you could ever want in a 7 series volvo. My question is, is this a keeper or a sleeper. I know that volvo did some motor improvemenst to the 88+ v-6s, but what were they...what type of improvements did they make and will this car give me the reliability that every other volvo is known for???? Thanks in advance. Oh and how hard would it be to install some aftermarket sway bars on this puppy(and yea i know it has independent rear susp)??
