10 Year SRS "Service" 700 1990

What's the "Required SRS 10-year service" that I read on that little sticker under the center armrest? My neice tried to test it the other day by rear ending some sort of small Ford model. Damage to Volvo: a cracked grill mounting tab. Damage to Ford bumper: $639.29. I assume (and am actually thankful) the impact was too minimal for an SRS deployment. But now I'm starting to wonder.......
