VERY hard start in cold weather 700 89

Ok, I have taken this car to 2 shops and even forked out $500.00 for a new temp sensor. That was last February. Car has always been a slow start (think I'll check the ground wire mentioned on this board) but this weekend we had sub freezing weather and now it won't start until I let it sit in sunshine for about 15 mins. Any ideas what to do next?
