Actually me and a shop near my house...we did this on my 144s, and it didn't actually take long... took a weekend. These cars are so simple...feels like lego.

Uhh... I say just get any good wire a little better than spec and just get many colours...hehe. (That's what I did...) Car still runs and nomore electrical problems... (Except it was done by head, not by a diagram...so it's a PITA to trace connections.)
