Low gas mileage 200 78

I have a '78 (B21F) 244 that seems to be useing far too much gas . It runs really well exept for a very slight uneveness in idle while warming up .When firt started it is very smooth for about the first five mins.Thats when the uneveness starts , then after it is up to normal operatin temp. it once again smoothes out. I'm wondering if this is a malfuntioning control pressure regulator or something else such as the freqency valve allowing the thing to run way to rich.Am I on the right track? Also I had a bad fuel accummulator when I first got the car going,I managed tofind one in the junk yard it was from a later model turbo and is larger than the one that came with the car and did'nt have a line running from it to the tank. Is this a problem ? Or will it serve the purpose as well as the original?
