Motor / head swap for rebuild 200 84

Hello All,

I'm looking for suggestions to help me decide which way to go ona motor rebuild. I have a choice of either restoring a B23F or a B230F. The biggest difference I see is the lower compression on the B230F. I remember seeing somewhere that a head swap using the B230F head on the B23F was an ideal configuration..Any ideas or experiences? I'm also toying with the idea of swapping out the auto tranny for a 4 speed manual with overdrive. Does anybody have any suggestions here?

Thanks,

Marc
