Hello again,
I just read through the FAQ a little more carefully and as far as I can tell, I might have a few different problems all at once. I think this might be the case because I have had minor problems with the car for the past 2 years, but I was told by a mechanic that the problems were being cause by sensors that didn't really need replacing at the time. Well, now I think that all these "minor" problems have finally added up to a major problem...just to summarize the problems I've been having:
-Car won't restart after fully warmed up...but does sometimes.
-If the car is warm and does restart, the temp immediatly begins to drop until I start driving.(temp sensor bad??)
-Idles normally after cold start, but as car warms up, engine begins to run really rough and shakes the whole car. However, idle seems stable.
-After long drive, when the car is put into park, the idle stabalizes at a little over 1000rpm.
-When driving, the temp gauge stays at the middle position(straight up), but when I come to a stop the temp drops back towards cold.
-As expected, mileage has been less than specatcular...
As I mentioned previously, I'm taking it in to a volvo only mechanic next week, but I would like to have some idea as to what could be going on before I bring it in. Thanks in advance!
