He's no expert. He's full of it. The diesel head will not fit. At 8 psi of boost, the B230FT in a 740T produces 160 hp. If you figure about 7 HP per psi of boost, that's 21 extra HP for about 181 hp. The B230FT has a compression ratio of about 8.5:1. Your friend with the boosted Mini would have to be running a very high compression ratio to get 275 hp and would be in danger of detonation without adding a tremendous amount of fuel. Anything over 15psi on an engine designed for a turbo requires extra fuel.
