Broke My Flametrap...is there a way to drive without it? 200 89

I was just checking it, and of course it's pretty cold out (no snow though), and when I pulled up on it the nipple for the small vacuum hose broke off. Volvo dealer's closed, every parts store I called has no listing for it, and I don't want to be trapped here for the rest of the year.

Would it hurt to plug the small hose to the intake manifold and silicone the broken hole shut on the flame trap?

Any ideas a-preciated. I'm going to clean it up now and go see what kinds of glue/sealant I have in the house.
