AC Switch Switch 200 78

I've been really annoyed with the twisting AC switch that was standard in both my 240s.

At the salvage yard this weekend, I grabbed one of those old rocker switches for AC out of a beautiful 1976 244. It has two electrical connections on the back (one + and the other -, I assume).

Question: can I just stick this into my 1978 244, in the place of the twisting controller? Is it really as simple as plugging two wires into the back of the switch? Anyone done this?
