Re: Sticky Door 200 1989

Wear in the handle mechanism. Sometimes the handle needs to be replaced, sometimes you can get by with a linkage adjustment. Remove the door panel, find the rod from the handle to the lock assembly. Lift the rod out of the cradle in the handle and disconect the spring, screw the barrel shaped device down toward the bottom of the door, 5 or 6 turns should do it. reinstall the rod and spring to the handle and try it. Should open easily now. If handle wear is excessive, replace it. New at dealer around 90.00. Go to junk yard and get one from a back door, they don't get as much wear. 76-93 will fit, but they are different left to right. Front to rear is the same.
