dash fire car dead 200 80

From my small review of the board, I guessing Volvo makes a dangerous harness, or at least with planned obsolescence in mind.

With only 300M on the car, it's not about to go to pasture yet!

Had a few seconds of smoke from under drivers side, and lost all power to everything, no interior lights, no nothing. Looked at Haynes manuel and guessing Hot line from battery to key switch might have burned out, since it appears that this powers the entire fuse panel.

Waiting for tow truck to bring it 50 miles back home, died in a snow/ice storm 2 days ago.

Any suggestions or past experiences are greatly appreciated, as I will have to do the repairs myself.

80 240 ? dl wagon 4 cyl.
