Magnecor distributor wires and spark plugs 700 85

The car is a turbo with B230FT engine, about 86k.

I replaced the original distributor wires (blue color with French name) with Magnecor KV85 which is the heavy duty racing type. I also use Bosch WR7DC spark plugs.

Some time ago I seemed to have seen a posting regarding this subject. It said something about not to use resistance type wires with resistance type spark plugs. Non-resistance type plugs to be used with resistance type wires and vice versa. It did not catch my attention at that time.

The question is: am I using resistance type wires (I believe so) together with resistance type plugs ("R" in WR7DC may signifies resistance type)? Should I switch back to W7DC?

The car has been running fine. Mileage is not what I like to have. 22 mpg on freeway driving (LA to SF on I-5, as an example).

Could someone enlighten me on this subject.
