Wheel upgrade 200 87

Hello,

I am looking to upgrade my 14" wheels. What information does one need to know before purchasing a used set of wheels in order to make sure they fit properly. I would really like to put on a wheel with a diameter of 16". I understand that this diameter was not an option from the factory. Someone told me that the "slanted 5 spoke" 16X7" wheels from a 940 have the same offset and will work well with my vehical. Is this accurate? There are many Volvo wheels out there and I need the correct information as to what years and models of Volvos will work with my 1987 245DL. Thank you for you assistance
