Gas Pedal Vibration After Installing Strut Brace 200 1987

I just finished installing an OMP upper strut brace on my 1987 244 DL, and I soon noticed that the gas pedal vibrates during acceleration. It appears that the throttle pulley is touching the strut brace because I can see a worn spot in the paint, although the pulley is a quarter of an inch from the strut brace. Is this a problem? What can I do about it? The motor mounts are fairly new, with less than 10K miles on them. Any ideas?
