I had the same problem with my guage too. I was able to get mine fixed by hitting the dash pretty hard. My friend has a 87 760Turbo and His lights behind the dash would not go on unless he tapped the dash. I took his Idea and hit my dash and the light went on. I have not had any problems with it yet. The Volvo dealer would have probably charged me $200 for that job also.
