DASHBOARD cracks 200 1989

I would bet I am not the first to notice or ask about this.

What is up with the THREE common cracks that seem to run down every 80s volvo in my town??

One crack starts at the Left rivet on the VIN plate, the next one starts at the left screw that holds the driver's defrost vent, and runs to the edge of the dashboard above the instruments. Then there is the one that runs from the center speaker grill?

Tonight I looked at 6 Volvos in a Movie theater Lot, Because I had told one of my friends that I recently got a crack in my dash. His Volvo was sitting next to mine, and we started laughing at the fact that our dash cracks were EXACTLY the same. His car is 3 years older. We wandered the parking lot and found a few cars with The exact same three, and the Other cars had one or two cracks but they were in the same place..

WHAT IS UP WITH THIS???? It's kinda funny , but it irritates me all the same..
