Radio problem, won't leave "tape" mode 200 86

I hooked the wiring back up to the Volvo radio in my kid's 240. It had been disconnected (wires cut) by a previous owner. Probably to hook up an aftermarket unit. I get it all wired up and turn it on. Lo and behold, music! I decide to see if the tape player works. No luck there, but I really didn't expect any. Problem is, once I ejected the tape, no more music. It seems like it is stuck in the "tape" mode. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Maybe it's just "new radio" time.
