IS 89 and 90 the same engine for 765T?

I know the turbos are different...but I just want to know that I'm not buying a motor like they had in the 88's. My understanding is that a

late 89 is the same, Mitsubishi turbo and all. I just buried a 90 765T with

367K MILES, (not KM) and want to replace it with an identical car, and I've

looke at some 89's as weell as 90's. I know to avoid 88's and GLE's ( 6 cyl frogmotor). I've owned 2 90's and and 88 sedan ( rod knock at 150K).
