Thanks for the suggestion, Peter. I cleaned the IAC valve this weekend and the idle is much improved. I'm going to clean it again in two weeks when I have the time and possibly try to also take the motor itself apart to clean the commutator windings. This is described in the FAQs as something you can do if you're careful and will improve the op of the valve even more.

As it is now, I'm not worried about stalling at stoplights from low idle any longer. My next area for improvement is the strut rod bushings and finding out why my center vents don't work when they're supposed to.
