I have a couple of gauge questions that I hope you can answer. First I've been having problems with my odometer. The problem is that it no longer clocks the miles. My speedo still works fine, so I don't think there's a problem with the sender in the rear axle. I've taken it out to look for obvious things like broken gears, etc. and all I can ascertain is that the stepper motor could be fried (you know the fried electronics smell?). Can I fix my odometer by getting a speedo out of the scrap yard and replacing my PCB (the one with the motor) with the PCB/motor with the salvaged one?
Number 2: I've recently acquired a small voltmeter gauge. I've searched the archives, and have gotten some help, but what do I wire the gauge to? The archives I've read said to "wire it to the gauge cluster and one of the fuses", but can anyone be more specific?
Number 3: Ok, so this makes it more than a "couple" of questions, but I still haven't been able to get my temp gauge working either. I inspected the temp compensating board and cleaned the contacts, etc, but to no avail. How do I know if the actual temp gauge is working or not?
Thanks for any and all help you can give me.
