Once you are sure they are not working, you can pull the switch (easiest) and check to make sure the switch is carrying current to the heated mirrors. The green/blue wire caries electricity to the mirrors on the earlier 700 series. If the switch is good, and still no heat, pull the door panels and check for voltage at the connector for the power mirrors. Green/blue wire again. If you have voltage there, check for about 6 ohms to ground on the lead to the heated glass.
