I appreciate all the help from everyone. The alternator rapidly degraded today so I decided to buy a used one, got it for $65 w/90 day warranty. This buys me some time to look for a new brush/regulator assembly for the original one. The pulley spins fine and the belt was tight and oil-free (Just did timing belt, waterpump, front seals late last year :) ). Thanks again everyone.
