Wheel Torque...am I whacked?? 200 1985Ti

Don't answer that.....

I've always used 85 ft/lbs of torque for my 240/260's. No matter what type of wheels. I have never damaged an alloy wheel, nor warped a disc (which takes massive overtorque, IMHO)

So after reading the posts on wheel torque over the last couple weeks I have begun to question my sanity. Inteligent folks have suggested 60 ft/lbs for alloys (seems low, but....)

Anyhow, where is this written?? My 1981 262C that came with alloys has 85 ft/lbs in the glovebox manual. The 1985 240 manual has NOTHING about wheel torque....
