240 turbo-worth restoring? 200 82-85

You know, these cars are getting older and increasingly rare, especially the 2dr. Most of them have at least 150K miles or more on the odometer, and are in a state of disrepair due to lack of maintenance.

What I'd like to do some day, when I have more money and tools (e.g. lift, air compressor) is restore a 242 turbo to like-new condition. A lot of enthusiasts would have difficulty understanding why any sane person would want to restore a Volvo, but I've always been a little on the "eccentric" side. I feel that the 200 shares a tremendous amount of history with its predecessors, the 544, 122, 1800 and 140 and represents the end of an era in Volvo and automotive history. The styling is simple yet classic. The car stands out in a crowd. And it was built to last. So this is why I want to restore one.

Am I completely out of my friggin' mind or what guys?? Anyone else think these cars are worth saving? Has anyone attempted a 'frame-up' restoration or know of this is feasible?
