Best Engine Flush??? 900 1991

Next oil change is looming ahead. Switched both cars over to Mobil 1 10W30 last change (about 3500 miles ago). Used GUNK brand flush last oil change. Have heard that the cheap flushes (SILOO and GUNK) are just kerosene or diesel fuel. Are the BG or Amsoil motor flushes significantly better? GUNK is about $2, Amsoil is $5, and BG is $7.

The reason I am going ahead and flushing again is that the oil has recently gone pretty dark, and I want to be absolutely sure I am getting all the old dino oil junk out. My mechanic swears the BG stuff is the best, and worth the extra $.
