Exhaust problems 900 92

Need some help fast. My wife is out of town and just called me. She said that the car suddenly started making a lot of noise. I knew there was a crack in the exhaust near the converter. I told her to look under the car and she confirmed that the noise was coming from there and it looked like the exhaust was kinda hanging down. I told her that she could probably drive home if nothing was dragging. She then called back and said the

"check engine" light had come on. What would cause this? Could it be some sort of sensor on the exhaust system that caused this warning light to come on? It would be a strange coincidence for something else to go wrong at the same time. I don't know if I should let her drive it home or if I should make the trip to get her and check it out myself. Any help her would be appreciated. Also, anyone know where to get aftermarket exhaust for this 940 at a reasonable price. Thanks!
