Lessons needed: How to drive a Turbo 200 '85

Last fall, I purchased my first 245 turbo. It has the M46. Didn't drive it after I got it home, because winter came, and the tires were pretty worn.

Problem is changing my driving habits from all my n/a bricks. I usually shift those at around 2500, so the next gear puts me about 2000 rpm.

Well, that doesn't work too well on a turbo. Makes it slower than a n/a 245.

What is the proper method for shifting a turbo in city and suburban driving?
