My 245 with interesting past 200 1982

Hi,

I just bought my first Volvo tonight. A 1982 240 GLT Wagon.

I got it from a lawyer who had all the records from ever since he got it in '89 The engine blew in march of 99 and since then only has 10,000 mile put on the car. He had the local Volvo Dealership do all the work even down to replacing wiper blades and tire rotations.

The interesting thing about this car is that when I was looking through the owners manual and warrentee and maintenence records the car was bought on 8-9-82 at Beverly Hills Auto Imports in Hollywood by Annette O'toole, the actress!

It originally had the turbo but it went out in '89 and the guy I bought this from had the engine converted to a non-turbo version but every other accesory and option is on this car. New tires, new brakes, oil changes every 3000 miles and no rust.

I paid $2100 for the car and considering what else was out there for that kind of money this was the cleanest car I could find.

What do you people think? Good Deal or not? Thanks for your time and I am now checking this board daily to get ideas.
