"No washee-No wipie" (tailgate) 200 86

Two separate circuits (rear wiper motor and rear washer), yet both won't work.

Fuses OK. I hear a faint click in the relay when the stalk switch is in intermittant mode. Also hear a faint "thud" near the washer under the hood when trying the washer botton on the stalk.

Rear wiper did cycle one complete time after I spliced the hinge wires back together.

Used butt connectors for all the splices, except one which I tried to solder together. (what color was that one?)

Checked the connectors at the left hinge. OK.

I could see one circuit being out. But does two circuits suggest a switch failure?

How would I test the switch? ( I have it uncoverer in the column)

I will also uncover the tailgate to check the wiper motor ground there. But that would not explain the washer not working.

Ideas?
