Re: Engine mounts 700 87

I recently replaced my engine mounts. They were the old style 'hockey puck' kind. The newer hydraulic types can also be found at NAPA, a friend did his '87 when he had it. He now has a 96 855T. Read the 700/900 FAQ via the link below to check what to do on your 'new' car.

I might suggest changing the trans and OD oil. I would also suggest resoldering the fuel pump relay, behind the ashtray, on the left, middle row. In fact, resolder all those realys. Our resident relay expert, Don Foster, has clued many of us into this cheap and effective solution for vibration induced solder joint breaks rendering expensive relays inoperative.

If you have any more questions, please ask.

I just installed newer seats in my '86 from a 940T and what a difference. I sit up so much higher now and it's so much more comfortable, except in the upcoming summer I expect.
