Rear window slats 200 1984

As I was pulling into Krispy Kreme with my friend this weekend, I saw a 1985 240 DL with rear window slats. I remember seeing them a long time ago, when i was a kid, on a 242. I talked to the owner, and he told me when he bought the car 2nd hand, they were already on the car, and that they are fairly rare. He showed my his interior, and to my amazement, his car, with almost 200k miles, showed relatively no signs of wear on his blue cloth interior. He said the slats were the reason. What are the odds of me finding a set of slats in the junkyard? Are they a really rare/ sought after item? Or is it just nobody likes them, and that's why i see them on so few cars? I think they would look nice on my silver '84 240 GL, with a set of turbo rims and blacked out trim. I just don't want pay an arm and a leg for them. Anyone know how much they cost? Thanks.
