242glt going back together/head bolts 200 83

Hi guys,

Got my head back Monday and head gasket set.Dumb question...

Do I absolutely need new head bolts?

Last time Ill ask this question...If you were a novice brickhead and ready to kick your golf game back in,and just tired of working on restoring a rustfree 242t,would you go to the trouble of intercooling an auto car as well as a b230 intake swap?

The resources available to even a novice make these mods a distinct possibility, and I have most if not all of the parts. But at the risk of sounding like a weenie,Im thinking that I should put the car back together as original,no inter or intake yet,and just see how the car was supposed to run and check all the other systems,ie tranny and such, before I modify It.Seems logical to me.

Anyone Else?

Thanks for replying and for all the help.
