1989 760 GLE with B280F V-6, please help ALL 1989

Hello again all,

Thank you to those who replied to my earlier questions.

I am looking for an in depth comparison or opinon of this engine for this model car. Here's the background.

The car has 46k miles on it, one owner. I bought the car here in Hawaii. The owner was a Japenese guy who left the car here on Hawaii and drove it only when visiting. There are no service records to be found. I ran the VIN thru the internet based check and it came back fine. The car runs great and is clean thru out, except the headliner is falling out. I paid 5k for the car. With that said, heres my questions.

1: Is the B280F V-6 in a 1989 vehicle a lemon? If so, why?

2: Does this model have a timing chain or belt? If a belt, is Valve damage possible with breakage?

3: What things should I keep a close eye on, maintenance wise, on this vehicle?

Thank you for your responses.
