Help advise 900 1995

I need your help... I am thinking of buying a 1995 940gl from my local car dealer. It has about 96000 miles on it(quite high huh for a 5 year old car or is it ok?). They repainted the whole car in its original colour, it does not have a jack but he said that he could get one. I just want some advice on what to look out for because I am not experienced at buying 2nd hand cars. I test drove it twice and it felt smooth and tight and it was really quiet - except for some vibrating sound when it is idling, according to the salesman it is the exhaust and he will tighten it for me. Can you give me some tips on what I should know about this car and what to look out for when I inspect it again. How will I know if this car was abused by its previous owner? Do I need to bring it to a Volvo workshop for a full inspection?

One more thing, when I am on D and when I press the brakes to stop, I can feel the car vibrate a slight bit as it is stopping - is there anything to worry about or is this normal for an auto?

p/s I really like the car and I hope anyone can give me some pointers on what to look out for..thanks a milion.

Marilyn
