Coolant in Auto Trans fluid 200 78

For a while now, I've been trying to pin down where my coolant loss is occurring.

On Wednesday I checked the transmission fluid....I found I have an auto transmission full of water.

I'm getting a new radiator, the new one is "all brass". The old one was genuine Volvo aluminium and appeared to be in good condition on the outside. I was told that you can't repair the Volvo ones very well and the auto trans coil is only "glued" to the connection flanges.

Has anyone else had problems with the aluminium radiators?

I'm hoping that the auto trans is not too damaged, I'm going to drain all the white stuff and refill with fresh transmission fluid.

It worked OK on the oil/water mix, which is a bit of a worry.
