Three of my registered Volvos have over 200,000 miles.

- An '82 245 with 347k miles.

- An '86 245 with 253k miles, driven daily and a quiet, comfortable, reliable car.

- A '91 740 with 215k miles, wife's daily driver.

Whadda surprise -- tricks in the insurance industry!

In Massachusetts the insurance companies are compelled to close a transaction by a certain time, but you're not supposed to know that. So if you delay the process by dragging your feet or asking more 'n more questions, they start to panic and will become more reasonable with their settlement offer at the "eleventh hour."
