Engine Management Fault 700 89

I have an 89 760 Turbo that has developed a frustrating little fault. I think it is a relay somewhere. Occasionally the car will run rough and have very little power beyond very light throttle input. The Turbo/vacuum gauge swings to the right but the car actually looses power. You can feather it up to highway speeds but if you stop, shut the car off and go again the fault typical corrects itself. This is why I think it is a relay,,, maybe even a fuel pump relay. If you have any suggestions I would be grateful.
