Re: Best way to replace motor mounts?

It's a piece of cake. Jack up the motor under the pan, using a piece of blocking to spread the load.

The right side mount (near the filter) simply drops in. You canb loosen the top mount stud from under the hood.

The left side mount requires that you unbolt the lower bracket from the crossmember, but that's only an extra coupla minutes.

I mighta confused the left and right side brackets -- I was laying on my back looking up facing backwards -- but one bracket must be removed to access the lower mount stud.

Be alert for mount alignment.

Remember that your hands are up around the unsupported engine, so jack and block carefully.
