burning oil 140-160 73

I have just rebuilt my B20E engine and it smokes, I did a compression check, 150 psi on all cylinders. During trouble shooting I have discovered oil is being drawn into the intake manifold through the pcv valve. I have a new flame trap filter, if the manifold pressure sensor was not functioning properly could this cause the oil to be drawn in through the pcv valve?
