For those of you who might recognize me by name, thank you for all the tips you have given me for my volvo. Unfortunately, my volvo exists no longer as I was caught in a four car accident on the freeway. After the first two cars hit, a Jeep Cherokee veered into my lane and slammed on its brakes to avoid what was happening infront of it. Consequently, @60 mph, I slammed on mine and went right into the thing. Needless to say, my car was destroyed. However, it is because of that car that I am able to write this message. I have only had a minor whiplash from the collision. Amazing. My car was a 1985 245GL, with 184,679 miles on it, and plenty of life le t. No one was hurt, as I was hit the hardest. However, the lady in the SUV decided to take advantage of the fact that "I hit her" and is filing a claim against me. How low can you go? SHE actually got to drive her car home. And, if I wasn't in a volvo (we also have a tiny toyota Celica), my car would have dug under he s because the dang thing sits so high...God bless SUVs and the destruction/mahem they cause!
Anyway, I would like to say that not only are volvos cool in that they save their occupants, but they have the liberty of limiting damage to the vehicles they hit. Go volvo.
Now I am back on the market for another one...this time I want a manual; I am aware that the M47 is less reliable than the M46. What are the problems that come with the M47 exactly? Is it still worth the purchase? Any tips? Thanks.
P.S. Does one get better gas mileage than the other?? What is the gas mileage on each???
