B20 exh. manifold vs header opinions ALL

To save time when I put the 2.2 liter B20e engine in my '63 544 I just hooked up the original single downpipe manifold hooked to a small exhaust system (1 1/2 in. at most, maybe a little less). This is without a doubt a considerable bottleneck in throughut. I was going to have a 2 inch system bent up locally, but was wondering if the IPD header is worth the money, or am I just as well off going with a twin downpipe B20 manifold/downpipe? Will these even fit on a 544?

Thanks in advance for any opinions/advice.
