Wont Start in Rain 200 1984

Any advise on trouble shooting my '84 244 that refuses to start after it has sat in the rain overnight.

2 weeks ago, woke up one Monday morning after a weekend of rain & it wouldn't start - turned over, cranked but never caught. Arranged alternative transportation for the entire week, figuring I get to over the weekend. On Saturday morning, after not having touched it all week, it started right up - so I couldn't fix it, beacuase it wasn't broken?!?

Worked fine ALL this week - drove it several hundred miles - including a 95 mile trip in the rain yesterday. Last night it poured rain & this morning it wouldn't start - turned over, but wouldn't catch.

I've replaced the main fuel filter (tried to get to the in-tank one last week-end but couldn't for the life of me navigate it out through the access panel in the truck - especially since the fuel lines wouldn't come off (if anyone has any hints on that whole procedure that be great)) Also replaced the 25 AMP fuse/holder near the battery because the fuse holder was quite cracked & corroded.

Any thoughts on where to start looking tomorrow morning??

thanks

tim
