1989 760 GLE Idleing @2000 rpm !!!!!? ALL 1989

Hey guys,

I have a 1989 760 GLE with the B280F engine, CIS with LH Jetronic I think? At any rate I parked it on a friday, started it on a monday and the idle speed had jumped to 2000 rpm from around 700 or so rpm.

Now when I pinch the intake hose on the air control valve that sits above the manifold, the idle drops down to around 700/800 rpm. I tried screwing the idle adj screw all the way in and it does drop it down to about 1800 rpm before it bottoms out.

Any help? I dont want to take it to the dealer, but may have to. They want 214 bucks for a new air control valve
