I have been reading the current string regarding rust repair and have a few questions. My 86 240 is showing its first rust problem that I am aware of(cars do not rust much here in Colorado) around the windshield moulding. I haven't removed the molding yet so I do not know how bad the problem is and I have never repaired rust before. I am relpacing the windsheild soon so I thought this would be a good time to address the problem. Should I scrape off the loose paint and rust and apply one of the suggested products such as Por-15 or Corroless directly to the remaining rust? Can I paint over these products? How do I repair if there are any holes through the metal? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks!
