Electric FI pump won't run! ALL 76

I know this isn't the forum for this question but someone electic fuel pumps should know. The car is a 76 Datsun 280z with Ljetronic system. The car has been setting up for 4 mos and I just charged the battery, cleaned the plugs, and checked for spark. When the motor turns over the potentiometer moves to start the pump but I can't hear it run. I confirmed no fuel pressure by replacing the fuel filter line and no resultant spew of fuel. It was due for this before I stopped driving the car. The potentiometer tests for signal to the fuel pump or computer - I forget. I tried banging on the pump with a hammer to no avail. Any help would be great - even gorrila tactics. This car hasn't not started for this reason ever. I didn't say never. Thank You.
